He will be discussing the current situation regarding refugee and immigration status.

CBA is excited to welcome guest speaker Ken Thomas from the League of Women Voters discussing “DECISION 2024: A Voter’s Guide to the Six Amendment Proposals on the Florida General Election Ballot” Over the past 21 years, Ken has served as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem (GAL) here in Palm Beach County. He is currently the Volunteer State President for AARP Florida, and he serves on the Board of several non-profit organizations. He is also a proud member of the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County where he served as President from 2019 -2021. During this shabbat CBA will be participating in SHJ’s Freedom From Religion Shabbat and Shersheret Pink Shabbat.

There will be a 3-session FREE mini-course for those wanting to learn about Judaism. It will discuss Jewish history, culture, and rituals, through secular and humanistic perspectives. No prior knowledge about Judaism is required. The curriculum will offer enough of an overview of the wider Jewish community.
